MSS USA CORP, a subsidiary of MSSCORPS CO., LTD, is a leading provider of advanced materials analysis services for the semiconductor industry. We are looking for an experienced Senior Equipment Engineer to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems in our new lab.

About the Role

As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our TEM and FIB systems by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing tool uptime. You will work closely with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to support installation, qualification, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on TEM and FIB systems to ensure high uptime and performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and vacuum-related issues in TEM/FIB tools.
  • Oversee new equipment installation and qualification, working closely with vendors and contractors.
  • Optimize tool performance by refining processes, improving preventive maintenance strategies, and implementing best practices.
  • Develop and update SOPs for equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting based on vendor manuals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service contracts and spare parts procurement.
  • Support lab operations by assisting with other semiconductor metrology tools as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with TEM/FIB maintenance and troubleshooting in a semiconductor, R&D, or industrial lab setting.
  • Strong understanding of electron optics, vacuum systems, and precision mechanics.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum failures based on specifications and manuals.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors for tool installation, service, and spare parts procurement.
